A roadmap for bilateral cooperation for 2026–2027 was signed between Tajikistan's Sughd Region and Belarus's Mogilev Region, NIAT Khovar reported, citing BelTA.
The document aims to develop economic, trade, and humanitarian cooperation between the regions. The agreement was signed by Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda and Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Chairman Anatoly Isachenko.
The two sides held talks in Mogilev. During the meeting, prospects for expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation were discussed. Participants expressed interest in implementing joint projects in industry, agriculture, and other mutually beneficial sectors.
It was also noted that in recent years, interaction between regions has developed, and economic indicators are showing positive dynamics.
The parties expressed confidence that the implementation of the Roadmap will provide additional impetus to the further development of ties and the strengthening of practical partnership.
During its visit to the Mogilev region, the Tajik delegation is expected to visit a number of industrial enterprises and hold bilateral meetings and negotiations.
