Starting in 2026, all travel vouchers and leaflets in the Republic of Tajikistan's transport sector will be available through a mobile app, and electronic travel documents will become mandatory. This was reported to NIAT Khovar by the press center of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Ministry noted that as a result of the implementation of the program to digitize waybills, their number has increased, and the industry's statistical indicators have improved.
It is reported that the main digitalization work in the industry has now been fully completed in Dushanbe, the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Sughd Region, the Districts of Republican Subordination, and the Kulob, Bokhtar, and Rasht zones. Transport companies in these regions are operating in accordance with the digital program.
"In 2026, all forms of travel vouchers and leaflets will also be launched via a mobile app; in other words, electronic travel documents will become mandatory," the department emphasized.
It was also noted that the State Service for Supervision and Regulation in Transport and its structural divisions regularly conducted inspections throughout 2025 to ensure compliance with licensing conditions and requirements.
The Ministry reported that the results of the inspections revealed consistent shortcomings in the operations of most transport companies and enterprises. Specifically, they identified non-compliance with pre-trip medical examination requirements, violations of vehicle technical and operational requirements, inappropriate employee qualifications, and a lack of certificates of conformity for work and services and professional competence. These violations are noted to lead to reduced safety, an increased number of road accidents, and poor service delivery.
In accordance with the provisions of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan, protocols were drawn up and fines were imposed based on the identified deficiencies in the limited liability companies Sayokhon, Holding Guruh, HNA Sharaf, Rohnamo, Dilshod Trans, Usto Amir, Korovonsaroy, Nuri Istiklol, MNA 35, Borkashon, as well as in the state municipal unitary enterprise Trolleybus.
The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan added that coordination and oversight of transport companies will be strengthened in 2026.
