The foundation of a new tourist complex has been laid in the Iskanderkul area.

Construction of a modern tourist complex has begun in the Iskanderkul tourist zone of the Ayni District of the Sughd Region. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on January 14 with the participation of the regional governor, Rajab Akhmadzoda, according to the regional administration's press service.

According to the administration, the project is being implemented at the initiative of patriotic entrepreneurs with the goal of developing the tourism industry and improving the level of service to tourists.

Regional Governor Rajab Akhmadzoda emphasized that tourism is one of the most profitable sectors of the economy, and that the implementation of such projects is carried out within the framework of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

He noted that construction and renovation of tourism infrastructure is proceeding smoothly in all cities and districts of the region, and the level of service provided to domestic and international tourists is improving year after year. The head of the region also emphasized that peace and tranquility in the country, the development of national economic sectors, and the construction of modern facilities are creating conditions for an increase in the number of visitors and foreign tourists, which contributes not only to the development of tourism but also to the strengthening of the national economy.

During the project presentation, it was announced that the service center and hotel in the Iskanderkul area of the Fandaryo jamoat in the Ayni district will be built on an area of 1.08 hectares. The project includes the construction of three three-story service buildings, five single-story buildings, a parking lot, a sports field, a restaurant and café, recreation areas, a children's playground, and other necessary infrastructure.

The construction of this tourist facility is seen as an important and timely step towards sustainable tourism development, the creation of new jobs and the presentation of the tourism opportunities of the Sughd region.
