During a working visit to the city of Istiklol, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda inspected the construction of industrial enterprises, the regional administration press service reported .
Istiklol is currently focusing on industrial development. One significant project is the construction of the second phase of the Tajik-Chinese Mining Company's lead, silver, and copper metallurgical plant.
During the visit, the regional governor was informed that most of the construction work on the plant's second phase had been completed, with production lines and the necessary equipment installed. According to the plan, the facility will manufacture five types of products. The Istiklol Metallurgical Plant is one of the largest mining enterprises, and its first phase was commissioned with the participation of Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon. Once the second phase begins operations, production volume will increase, creating a total of 500 jobs.







As part of its support for local entrepreneurs, construction of two industrial limestone and lime production facilities continues in Istiklol. The regional chairman inspected the progress of work at Tojokhak LLC, located in the town's industrial zone. Most of the construction work has been completed, and landscaping and fencing work have begun. The facility's production capacity will be 100 tons of limestone per day, and once operational, up to 30 local residents will be provided with jobs.
Construction of a limestone processing plant, Okhaki Istiklol LLC, is also underway with the participation of local entrepreneurs. Its design capacity is 100,000 tons of lime per year, and once operational, the plant will create 100 jobs.






After reviewing the construction work, Rajab Akhmadzoda gave the responsible officials specific instructions for the timely and high-quality completion of the work. That same day, a tree planting event was held at the Ohaki Istiklol LLC limestone processing plant. The administration emphasized that similar events should be further developed in the industrial zone of Istiklol.



Furthermore, with the aim of improving maternal and child health care, a complete renovation of the maternity ward at Istiklol Central Hospital is underway with the participation of development partners. During the visit, it was reported that most of the interior renovation work has been completed, and finishing work on the façade has begun. Healthcare officials stated that after the renovation is complete, they will work to further improve the quality of service to the public.



During the visit, the Chairman of the Sughd Region also inquired about the condition of labor veterans Sabzaali Shamsiddinov and Mukhabbat Karimova, presenting them with gifts on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
