Tajikistan is considering a project to build a 400-megawatt solar power plant with the participation of Masdar, according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
This was announced on January 14 in Abu Dhabi, where, as part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, Tajikistan's Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Manuchehr Safarzoda held a meeting with Masdar management.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of renewable energy and noted that the project's implementation will increase green energy production, diversify electricity sources, and enhance the sustainability of the country's energy system.
Manuchehr Safarzoda emphasized Tajikistan's readiness to create favorable investment conditions and provide comprehensive support for renewable energy projects.
