On January 12, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Faizali Idizoda received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun. This was reported by the Majlisi Namoyandagon press service.
During the meeting, Faizali Idizoda congratulated Mr. Guo Zhijun on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan and wished him success in his future diplomatic activities.
The parties noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and China in 1992, bilateral relations have reached a new level of strategic partnership and allied cooperation. The development of relations is based on more than 250 bilateral international documents, demonstrating the effectiveness of joint diplomatic efforts.

Faizali Idizoda emphasized that the successes achieved in bilateral relations were made possible thanks to the friendly ties, political will, and initiatives of the heads of state—the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
The meeting also noted that the parliaments of the two countries have established a permanent and sustainable inter-parliamentary dialogue on key issues on the international agenda with the aim of strengthening peace, security, and stability, including activities within the UN, SCO, and other international organizations.
The parties commended the effective cooperation between parliaments that began in 2005 and emphasized the importance of further developing Tajik-Chinese relations in the areas of trade, humanitarian and cultural cooperation, education, defense, security, and the exchange of experience in various sectors of the national economy.
Faizali Idizoda noted that progress in the strategic partnership is closely linked to the work of both countries' parliaments, expanding ties, and ratifying international instruments. He emphasized that the Majlisi Namoyandagon will continue its efforts to strengthen the friendship and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China, as well as to develop interparliamentary relations within the framework of international parliamentary mechanisms, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
