US President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Washington's withdrawal from 66 international organizations. The White House announced this in an official statement.
"Today, President Donald J. Trump signed a presidential memorandum directing the withdrawal of the United States from 66 international organizations that no longer serve American interests," the statement said.
According to the document, all US executive departments and agencies are instructed to cease participation and funding of 35 organizations that are not part of the UN system, as well as 31 entities operating under the auspices of the United Nations.
The White House emphasized that withdrawing from these structures "will end American taxpayer funding and participation in organizations that advance globalist interests at the expense of U.S. priorities or that address important issues ineffectively or irrationally."
The list of organizations mentioned in the publication on the White House website is not provided.
