Chechen Republic Head Ramzan Kadyrov has appointed his eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov, 20, to the post of deputy prime minister of the region. Kadyrov announced this on his Telegram channel.
At the same time, Akhmat Kadyrov will retain his post as Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Chechnya.
Akhmed Dudayev, the regional minister for national policy, external relations, press and information, has been appointed acting deputy chairman of the Chechen government.
Ramzan Kadyrov emphasized that both appointees possess "extensive management experience, a number of exceptional professional qualities, a systematic approach to work, and a high sense of responsibility." He noted that they "have a deep understanding of their respective areas and have already made a significant contribution to the republic's development."
"During their tenure, they have made a significant contribution to the development of the republic's socio-economic sectors. I am confident that Akhmat Kadyrov and Akhmed Dudayev will handle their assigned tasks with excellence," the head of Chechnya added.
It is noted that Ramzan Kadyrov's children and relatives are regularly appointed to important positions in Chechnya and receive high regional awards.
Earlier, the Chechen leader's eldest daughter, Aishat Kadyrova, resigned from her post as deputy prime minister of the republic, declaring that the position was for a "strong man."
