In the city of Penjikent in the Sughd region, improvements and clean drinking water supplies have been carried out in accordance with the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon and the regional leadership. This was reported by the city's press service.
During a visit to the village of Yori, the chairman of the city of Penjikent, Abdukholik Kholikzoda, commissioned two wells for drinking water in the Fushun and Ravot microdistricts of the village of Yori.
The well construction was reportedly supported by local city authorities and businessman Asror Mirzoev, totaling 600,000 somoni. More than 200 households are now provided with clean drinking water.


The wells reach a depth of 150 meters and are capable of producing up to 25 liters of water per second, officials said.
City Mayor Abdukholik Kholikzoda emphasized that the construction of wells is one of the practical measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to provide the population with clean drinking water and is an important social and health issue.

At the same time, it was noted that every conscientious individual should value peace and tranquility, political stability, and national unity, base their work on the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon, jointly strive to expand improvement and construction work, and also worthily celebrate the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, making efforts to improve and beautify every corner of the Motherland, including community areas, microdistricts, roads, and areas near residential buildings and institutions.
