On December 30, Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun and his wife, Song Yuxia, visited the Kangurt Jamoat State Boarding School in the Temurmalik District of Tajikistan's Khatlon Region for a New Year's greetings event. The event was attended by the head of the Tajik Foreign Ministry's Affairs Department, the Temurmalik District Chairman, the head of the Kangurt Jamoat, and other officials, according to the Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan.
Guo Zhijun and his wife warmly interacted with the boarding school's teachers and students, learned about their daily studies and lives, and presented them with New Year's gifts, including school supplies. Ambassador Guo also donated some electronic equipment to the school to enhance its teaching.
During the visit, Ambassador Guo also exchanged views with local officials in Khatlon region on bilateral relations and practical cooperation between China and Tajikistan.

The Kangurt State Boarding School was established by the Government of Tajikistan as a charitable institution to provide essential support to local orphans and children from low-income families.
