The Tajikistan Men's Judo Championship was held in Dushanbe on December 20-21. Wrestlers from the Sughd and Khatlon regions, the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, the city of Dushanbe, cities and districts of republican subordination, and the Rasht Valley participated in the competition. Ramzi Shamirov, an employee of the Tajikistan Judo Federation, told sports reporter NIAT Khovar.
Athletes competed in seven weight categories. Following the tournament, two representatives from Dushanbe, two from cities and districts of republican subordination, and one athlete each from the Sughd and Khatlon regions and the Rasht Valley emerged victorious and awarded gold medals.
The winners in each weight category received cash prizes of 10,000 somoni. Second place received 7,000 somoni, and third place received 5,000 somoni each.
Winners and prize winners of the 2025 Tajikistan Men's Judo Championship:
In the 60 kg weight category, Mehrzod Sufiyev from Sughd Region won first place and a gold medal. Muhammadsoleh Kuvvatov from Dushanbe took second place and a silver medal. Ramziddin Azizov (Dushanbe) and Shokir Goibov (Khatlon Region) took third place, earning bronze medals.
In the 66 kg weight category, Iskandar Makhmadkhodzhazoda from the Rasht Valley won the gold medal. Sarvar Abdushukurov from Dushanbe won the silver medal. Orifjon Dodov and Mullorajab Khalifayev, both representing Dushanbe, won bronze medals.
In the 73 kg weight category, Abdulloi Orif from Khatlon Region won first place and a gold medal. Mas'udi Akhmadzod from Dushanbe took second place and a silver medal. Third place went to Binyomin Nazirov and Muso Sadulloev, both from Dushanbe.
Abubakr Bokiev from Dushanbe won the 81 kg weight class. Bakhtiyor Bozorov, also representing Dushanbe, won the silver medal. Bronze medals were awarded to Abubakr Sherov from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and Ehson Iskandarzoda from the Sughd Region.
In the 90 kg weight category, Umar Rasulov, representing cities and districts of republican subordination, won the gold medal. Muzammir Karimzoda from Dushanbe took second place and a silver medal. Bronze medals were won by Tuychibek Sharipov and Yakubjon Nazirov, both from Dushanbe.
Parviz Abdurakhmanov from Dushanbe won the 100 kg weight class. Saidjamol Alimardonov, also representing Dushanbe, took home the silver medal. Third place went to Abubakr Akobir and Bakhtovar Bobokhonov, both from Dushanbe.
In the over 100 kg weight category, Dadahon Kurbonaliev, representing cities and districts of republican subordination, won first place and a gold medal. Second place and a silver medal went to Muhammadrasul Davlatov from the Rasht Valley. Bronze medals were won by Nekruz Nekbakhtzoda from the Sughd Region and Umar Munosibov from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
