On December 11, 2025, inter-MFA consultations on the topic "On the interaction of CIS member states in the information sphere" were held at the Commonwealth headquarters in Minsk, the press service of the Organization's Executive Committee reported.
Representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee took part in the consultations.



Participants in the consultations exchanged views on the forms, methods, and specifics of information support for foreign policy and work with the media, including the challenges of working in this area in the context of current geopolitical realities.
The importance of maintaining direct contacts between the press services of the foreign affairs agencies of the CIS member states and more active collaboration in promoting digital platforms on social media and joint materials on the activities of the Commonwealth was emphasized.
The work of the CIS Executive Committee in disseminating information on the activities of the Commonwealth member states in various areas, including the results of meetings of the Organization's highest bodies and the most important political, cultural and humanitarian events, was positively assessed.
The need for coordinated efforts to counter common information threats, including disinformation and fakes, was recognized.
