President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon participated in and delivered a speech at the International Forum on Peace and Trust in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, held as part of the International Year of Peace and Trust, 2025, the press service of the President of Tajikistan reported .
At the beginning of his address, the Head of State expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan and the United Nations for hosting this significant international forum. He also congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality.
During his speech, Emomali Rahmon, recalling the complex geopolitical competition and weakening of international law, stated that the growth of challenges and threats in the modern world is leading to a slowdown in economic and social development.



The President emphasized that "peace and trust play a crucial role in advancing international relations, reducing threats and risks, and creating favorable conditions for cooperation and sustainable development on the global stage." He noted that upholding these values enables the international community to address the complex challenges of today's world in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and shared responsibility.
At the same time, Emomali Rahmon emphasized the need for joint efforts by the international community to overcome environmental threats such as climate change, rapid melting of glaciers, environmental pollution, and other problems.
The head of state also recalled the Dushanbe processes on water resources and counter-terrorism, noting that Tajikistan constantly contributes to solving global problems.





The President emphasized that "Tajikistan consistently supports all initiatives to strengthen global peace and security." In this regard, he reiterated Tajikistan's proposal last year to the United Nations to declare a "Decade of Peacebuilding for Future Generations."
In conclusion, Emomali Rahmon called the "triumph of peace" "a guarantee of justice, equality, and respect for human rights and freedoms" and noted that "the international community must cherish this value, relying on trust, dialogue, and cooperation." He emphasized Tajikistan's readiness to continue to contribute to security and sustainable development through universally accepted diplomatic traditions, broad constructive dialogue, and other peaceful means of resolving problems.
