On December 11, a ceremony to release fish fry into the Sarband Reservoir took place in the village of Vahdat, Levakant, Khatlon Region. The event was attended by Davlatali Said, Governor of Khatlon Region, and Bakhodur Sheralizoda, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the regional governor's information service.



As part of initiatives to develop the fish farming industry, 300,000 fingerlings were released into the Sarband Reservoir. According to officials, 1.3 million fingerlings have also been released into other reservoirs in the Khatlon region.
The implementation of such measures is considered a priority area of state policy for the development of fish farming. The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan views these initiatives as a foundation for strengthening the country's food security, developing the highly profitable fish farming industry, and increasing economic revenue.






Following the release ceremony, Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said provided specialists with additional instructions and recommendations, emphasizing the need for further development of fish farming and the significant contribution this important industry can make to the national economy.
