An agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the establishment of an industrial park in the Republic of Tajikistan was approved today during a meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagoni of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Parliament's press service reported.
The second session of the seventh convocation was chaired by Faizali Idizoda, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event addressed issues related to the dismissal of Ahmadzoda Faizali from his position as Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tajikistan, the establishment of the celebratory medal "35th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan," and draft laws amending the Labor, Housing, Water, and Urban Development Codes of the Republic, as well as the Law "On the Unified Measurement Standard" and the Law "On the National Bank of Tajikistan." Furthermore, the amendments and additions No. 1 to the Loan Agreement dated April 14, 2021, between Tajikistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the "Heat Supply to Dushanbe" project were discussed. Appropriate decisions were made on all issues.


Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan received clarifications and presentations on the agenda items from Alizoda Zarif, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Legal Issues and Authorized Representative of the President in the Majlisi Milli and Majlisi Namoyandagon; Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies; Kholmahmadzoda Solekhi, Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment; Majidi Yusuf, First Deputy Minister of Finance; Safarzoda Mansur, Deputy Director of the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification, and Trade Supervision; the Chairman of the Environmental Commission; and members of relevant Majlisi Namoyandagon committees. Among them were representatives of the committees on energy, industry, construction and communications, legislation and human rights, economics and finance, state structure and local government, as well as on agrarian policy, water resources, and land relations.
The adoption of an agreement to establish an industrial park in Tajikistan is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Russian Federation, developing the country's industrial potential, creating new jobs, and attracting investment in priority sectors of the republic's economy.
