Sarvagya Singh Kushwaha of India has become the youngest player in chess history to receive an official rating from the International Chess Federation (FIDE), The Guardian reports .
He achieved this status at the age of three years, seven months and 20 days.
To obtain a World Chess Federation rating, you must beat at least one player who already has a FIDE rating.
Kindergarten student Kushvakha's rapid chess rating is 1572. Norwegian Magnus Carlsen leads the way (2824).
The previous record holder was also Indian representative Anish Sarkar, who received a FIDE rating in three years, eight months and 19 days.
