Tajikistan's Energy Supervision Agency reported inadequate heating supplies to residential buildings in the country's capital. Inspections in several multi-story buildings in the Ismoili Somoni and Shokhmansur districts of the capital revealed noncompliance with established heating standards, the agency said in a statement.
The inspection revealed that the temperature of the heating medium in the network and inside apartment buildings reached 55 degrees Celsius, whereas according to current requirements it should be 75 degrees.
The agency noted that the poor quality of heat supply forces residents to use additional electricity for heating, which leads to overloads on power lines.
To address the identified problems, the responsible agencies have been given appropriate instructions and recommendations, although the statement does not specify what specific measures will be taken to resolve the situation.
The heating season in Dushanbe began at the end of October, but the department notes that it has received a large number of complaints from residents about the lack of heat in their homes.
