First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan Salomuddin Yusufi visited the State Institution "Vokhidov Buri Clinical Hospital of Khatlon Region" to review the state of healthcare services and the progress of renovation work. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the visit, the hospital's chief physician, Kholmirzo Davlatzoda, reported that the facility has 610 beds and includes 21 treatment departments and 9 auxiliary departments. The hospital employs 1,196 staff members, including 167 physicians, 658 mid-level medical personnel, 315 junior medical personnel, and 56 technical staff.
The professional qualification level of doctors is 75.5%, and that of nurses is 62.2%. In the first nine months of 2025, 13 doctors completed advanced training courses, six of which were abroad (five in the Republic of Uzbekistan and one in the Islamic Republic of Iran).
In the first nine months of this year, 18,373 patients received inpatient treatment at the hospital. The plan set by Decree No. 600 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 2, 2008, "On the Procedure for Medical and Sanitary Services for Citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in State Healthcare Institutions," was fulfilled by 110%. During this period, individuals with disabilities, those in need, and low-income citizens received free medical services totaling over 380,000 somoni.
More than 200 patients visit the hospital daily, of which up to 100 are hospitalized. The facility's departments are equipped with modern diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical equipment, and new diagnostic and treatment methods are introduced annually. In the first nine months of this year, 11 innovative methods were introduced for the first time in urology, traumatology and orthopedics, general and vascular surgery, and gastroenterology.
Regarding renovations and reconstruction, the anesthesiology and intensive care unit is currently being completed, funded by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan. Additionally, the hospital continues to carry out exterior renovations of the main building, using its own funds. Once completed, the anesthesiology and intensive care unit will be equipped with new medical equipment and modern devices.
During his visit, First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan Salomuddin Yusufi gave the management and staff of the Khatlon Clinical Hospital named after Vokhidov Buri specific instructions to further improve the level and quality of medical services to the population.
