In accordance with the Work Plan of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops, a working meeting of the heads of military medical structures (agencies) of the border agencies of the CIS member states was held at the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, the press service of the Organization's Executive Committee reported.
The event was attended by representatives of the border agencies of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Coordination Service of the SKPV.
The meeting was dedicated to the exchange of experience in organizing training and imparting practical skills to military personnel of border agencies of the CIS member states in providing medical care.
The meeting was opened by Major General N.Kh. Hisainzoda, First Deputy Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan. He welcomed the participants on behalf of Major General M.R. Rajabzoda, First Deputy Chairman and Commander of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan. In his address, he wished the participants fruitful work and noted that working meetings have long been an effective way to share best practices on pressing issues of organizing medical care, and that recommendations developed during the meetings are always put into practice.
Deputy Chairman of the SKPV Coordination Service, Lieutenant General A.N. Buerov, addressed the participants of the working meeting with a welcoming speech. Aleksey Nikolayevich emphasized that such meetings are aimed at creating a solid foundation for practical cooperation.
Participants in the working meeting exchanged opinions and discussed current issues related to health protection in the border agencies of the CIS member states and the professional training of military personnel in providing medical care.
The event also included bilateral and multilateral consultations and an exchange of experiences on improving medical care.
Delegations from border agencies of the CIS member states visited the Central Military Hospital of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, where they were introduced to the activities of its units and their medical equipment, as well as the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University to learn about its educational facilities.
Participants believe that holding such working meetings helps improve interdepartmental cooperation and exchange experiences in maintaining the health of military personnel and their families, as well as improving the exchange of information in the field of medicine.
