Since its inception, the State Institution "Center for International Programs" has sent more than 117,000 Tajik citizens to study in 42 countries. This was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan during a meeting with Tajik students studying abroad under the Durakhshandagon International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the department, 30% of all students sent abroad are women. The Center for International Programs has been operating since 2008 and is responsible for the selection, preparation, and placement of applicants to foreign higher education institutions through scholarships, grants, and international educational programs.
In the 2024–2025 academic year alone, 131 applicants began studying abroad under the Durakhshandagon scholarship.
During the meeting, students were provided with detailed information about choosing educational institutions, preparing documents, the importance of proficiency in foreign languages, and the need to successfully pass international exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo.
The organizers emphasized that participation in international educational programs not only broadens the professional and scientific horizons of young people but also promotes Tajikistan's national values, culture, and achievements on the global stage.
