The 5th meeting of the Coordination Council of Authorized Bodies of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Member States on Biosecurity was held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. A Tajik delegation participated in the meeting, according to the press center of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan, Abdukholik Amirzoda, presented an analysis of the state of biosecurity in the country and described the measures taken to prevent biological threats.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the CSTO Secretariat, as well as delegations from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan. Participants discussed key areas for strengthening biological security in the region, sharing experiences, and coordinating joint actions to prevent biological threats.
Following the meeting, decisions were made to improve biosecurity, and recommendations were developed for further cooperation between CSTO member states in this area.
