The Tajikistan U-23 Olympic team will play its first match today in the 2026 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. According to the Tajikistan Football Federation, the match against Nepal will take place at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe and will begin at 9:00 PM.
The Group K qualifying tournament will be held in Dushanbe from September 3 to 9. The Tajikistan Olympic team will play three matches: against Nepal (September 3), the Philippines (September 6), and Syria (September 9). All matches involving the Tajik team will begin at 9:00 PM.
Based on the results of the qualification, the group winners, as well as several of the best second-placed teams, will advance to the final stage of the 2026 Asian Cup.
The Football Federation of Tajikistan emphasized that holding matches in Dushanbe is crucial for the development of football in the country and also gives fans the opportunity to support the national youth team.
