Dushanbe police officers solved the theft of 15,000 somoni from a Dushanbe-City e-wallet, which occurred on September 5 at Istiklol Hospital. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
According to the department, the Firdavsi District Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 received a report from a 57-year-old resident of the Dangara District. The man reported that at around 10:00 PM, while in a medical facility, an unknown individual, under the pretext of making a phone call, asked for his cell phone, then stole money from his e-wallet and fled.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers identified the suspect as a 34-year-old resident of Dushanbe. A criminal case has been opened, and an investigation is underway.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to exercise caution and caution when handling electronic wallets and personal finances, especially in public places.
