Tajik rescue workers provided assistance to 44-year-old Russian tourist Anton Telitsin from Yekaterinburg, who suffered a broken leg after falling from a height in the mountains of the northwest of the country. This was reported by the special rapid response team of rescuers in the Sughd region.
According to rescuers, an incident was reported near the Voru village council on September 8. A hiker slipped and sustained an injury while hiking in the Zeravshan Mountains. Rescuers navigated the challenging Chimtarga Pass and located the injured hiker using coordinates provided by the hiker and his companions.
"Upon examination, it was discovered that the tourist had broken his leg. He was given first aid at the scene. On September 10, 2025, the victim was evacuated using a specialized ambulance along difficult mountain roads to the village of Voru, from where he was taken to the Penjikent Central Hospital for hospitalization and treatment," the rescue team reported. The tourist's health is currently stable and he is under medical supervision.
Rescuers urged tourists and mountain tourism enthusiasts to strictly adhere to safety regulations, bring the necessary equipment, and inform authorities of their travel route in advance.

Calls are received by the tourist police, the Committee for Emergency Situations, the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, border troops, and other agencies that provide assistance to travelers in emergency situations.
