The simulated preventive operations "Seat Belt" and "Scooter" are taking place in the capital of Tajikistan from September 15 to 25, 2025. This was reported by the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The events are organized to increase citizens' legal awareness regarding traffic regulations, accident prevention, and ensuring the safety of all road users. Particular attention is paid to the mandatory use of seat belts by drivers and passengers, as well as compliance with motorcycle and scooter operating regulations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that recently, an alarming increase in traffic accidents has been observed on the country's streets and highways, often resulting in injuries and fatalities. Therefore, police officers urge citizens to exercise increased caution and strictly adhere to traffic rules, emphasizing that this is key to personal safety and the safety of other road users.
Operation Seat Belt has been running in the capital since 2023 and has demonstrated positive results in fostering a culture of safe driving among drivers and passengers.
