On Sunday, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon departed for New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. This was reported by the presidential press service.
At Dushanbe International Airport, the President was seen off by the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli, the Prime Minister of the country, the First Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the President, and other officials.
The Tajik delegation includes the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Presidential Aide for International Relations, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, and a number of other responsible representatives.
The head of state's visit program includes participation in plenary sessions of the UN General Assembly, as well as bilateral meetings with the leaders of a number of countries and international organizations.
