Tajik police have solved several thefts in the Jaykhun and Dangara districts and the city of Isfara, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported.
The Jaykhun Department of Internal Affairs received a report from a 32-year-old local resident that unknown individuals broke into his grocery store on August 27-28 and stole 5,000 somoni and a Techno mobile phone. The total damage amounted to 8,000 somoni. The investigation revealed that the theft was committed by a 16-year-old local resident.
Police also detained a 39-year-old resident of the Dangara district on suspicion of stealing a three-wheeled electric tricycle. The incident occurred on September 17, 2025, at approximately 1:30 AM on Panfilov Street in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe. The man stole the electric tricycle from the IHFM No. 10 Housing and Utilities Department. The damage is estimated at 15,000 somoni.
In addition, as a result of operational investigative activities, it was established that two 18-year-old residents of the city of Isfara stole an electric tricycle worth 11,800 somoni from the garden plot of a 65-year-old local resident.
Criminal cases have been opened on all counts under Part 2 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan ("Theft"). Investigative actions are ongoing.
