President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed the debates of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly and proposed declaring an International Year of Legal Education. According to the country's leader, the initiative aims to strengthen the global culture of law enforcement, transparency, and justice.
"The global community is today witnessing the disregard and violation of international law, which is the foundation of order, peace, and stability in the world," President Rahmon emphasized. He emphasized the need for strict adherence to international laws and the resolution of all conflicts and disputes exclusively within the legal framework.
The head of state called on all UN member states to support Tajikistan's initiative and participate in the development of a unified global culture of legal education. "With a deep understanding of this reality, Tajikistan proposes that the UN General Assembly consider declaring an International Year of Legal Education. We call on all states to join this initiative and strengthen a global culture of transparency and justice," the President stated.
Tajikistan's initiative aims to raise awareness among the population of all countries about the importance of law enforcement, human rights protection, international obligations, and building trust between states. Experts note that the declaration of the International Year of Legal Education could become an important platform for exchanging experiences in education, legal regulation, and compliance with international norms.
Tajikistan's proposal also reflects the country's desire to actively participate in the formation of a fair and stable international order, minimize conflicts, and strengthen cooperation between states.
