On September 24, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, took part in the annual meeting of the Group of 77 and China (G77) on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported .
In his speech, the minister expressed support for efforts to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen the multilateral system. Particular attention was paid to the need to reform the international financial architecture, strengthen peace and security, and address global climate challenges.
Sirojiddin Mukhriddin emphasized Tajikistan's active role in initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable development and combating climate change. He noted the importance of international cooperation in glacier conservation and the rational use and management of water resources, which is of particular significance for the countries of Central Asia.
The G77-China meeting brought together representatives of more than 130 developing countries to coordinate joint actions in international organizations and discuss global economic, environmental and social issues.
