The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan for the Khatlon Region is conducting an investigation into a woman's abuse of a five-month-old child. The investigation was prompted by a video posted online showing the mother scolding and hitting the infant, the Department of Internal Affairs reported .
The agency noted that the woman's identity was quickly established. She was Shukrona Boysarova, born in 2004, a resident of the Temurmalik district. According to preliminary reports, the woman committed child abuse after a verbal argument with her husband and, as punishment, recorded the incident on video, which she then sent to her husband.
"The investigation revealed that the incident was caused by dysfunctional family relationships and a conflict between the spouses. The woman knowingly filmed a video of her physical abuse of the child and passed it on to her husband for personal purposes," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
Verification materials have been prepared regarding Boysarova, and the issue of taking legal procedural measures is being decided.
Furthermore, police officers conducted a preventive conversation with the woman, during which she was informed of the provisions of legislation on the protection of children's rights and the consequences of such actions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the state guarantees the protection of minors' rights and the inadmissibility of any form of domestic violence.
The agency also noted that such incidents are subject to special scrutiny, and that if cases of child abuse are identified, legally prescribed penalties are applied to those responsible.
