First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Homid Khoshimzoda met with Agata Wierzbowska, President of the Polish Leaders of Change Foundation, and Urszula Sobecka, Director of the Lane Kirkland International Scholarship Program, at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, Homid Khoshimzoda welcomed the Polish delegation, expressing gratitude on behalf of the ministry's leadership for their visit to Dushanbe and emphasizing the importance of bilateral cooperation in education and science.
According to the First Deputy Minister, interaction between higher education institutions in Tajikistan and Poland is developing every year , covering key areas— the exchange of teachers and students, participation in international scientific conferences and seminars, and the implementation of joint educational programs .
He noted that significant results have already been achieved within the framework of the partnership between the Tajik Technological University and the Powislane University of Poland , the Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. S. Osimi and the Krakow Agricultural University , as well as the State University of Law, Business and Politics of Tajikistan and the State University of Gdansk .
Khoshimzoda emphasized that the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan is open to further expanding cooperation with Polish scientific and educational institutions , expressing readiness to hold meetings, negotiations, and joint projects in any format.
Agata Wierzbowska, President of the Leaders of Change Foundation, noted the high potential of Tajik students and emphasized that Poland is interested in strengthening academic ties and exchanging experiences through professional training and internship programs.
Urszula Sobecka, Director of the Lane Kirkland Program, discussed opportunities for Tajik specialists to participate in international scholarship programs aimed at developing leadership skills, supporting young researchers, and expanding international cooperation in education.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their mutual willingness to strengthen their partnership in the educational and scientific fields , emphasizing that the Polish delegation's visit opens up new opportunities for developing joint programs, student exchanges, and promoting international scholarship initiatives .
As noted in the press service's statement, the parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached will provide new impetus for the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Poland in the field of higher education and academic mobility.
