Crown Prince Tunku Ali Rizauddin ibn Mukhri of the Kingdom of Negeri Sembilan, who arrived in Tajikistan to participate in the Dushanbe-Invest-2025 International Investment Forum, inspected the progress of construction at the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station (HPP), the Rogun HPP administration reported.
During the visit, the guests studied in detail the construction stages of the facility, its production capacity, and the hydroelectric power plant's role in ensuring Tajikistan's energy independence.
Upon completion of the tour, the Crown Prince signed the "Rogun – Palace of Light" Book of Distinguished Guests, noting that the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant is a shining example of the Republic of Tajikistan's lofty aspirations. He emphasized that the country's leadership's dedication to implementing such a large-scale project deserves high praise.
Tunku Ali Rizauddin ibn Mukhri's tour of the region's largest energy facility symbolized the strengthening of friendly and investment ties between Tajikistan and Malaysia.
The Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station, under construction on the Vakhsh River, is one of the largest energy projects in Central Asia and a key element of the national strategy to ensure sustainable development of the energy sector and increase the country's energy independence.
