The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced updated health requirements for pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1446 AH (2025), according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The department noted that the new measures are aimed at strengthening disease prevention systems, improving the quality of medical services provided, and creating safe conditions for all Hajj participants.

According to the updated regulations, all pilgrims are required to undergo a medical examination before traveling to the Kingdom, including a physical examination, mandatory vaccinations, and other preventative measures.

Furthermore, the new requirements apply not only to pilgrims but also to seasonal workers involved in Hajj services. They must also undergo appropriate testing and preventative procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health emphasized that these measures were taken as part of efforts to ensure the health and safety of all pilgrims, improve the effectiveness of medical services, and create a comfortable and healthy environment during religious rites.

"The updated medical requirements are aimed at developing preventative medicine, providing high-quality services, and improving the safety of pilgrims during the Hajj," the Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry also urged anyone planning to perform Hajj to familiarize themselves with the current health requirements in advance on the official website of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health:
