On October 28, 2025, a special event, "Synergy of the CIS, CSTO, and SCO Approaches to Deradicalization: Challenges and Opportunities," was held in Minsk at the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by the SCO Secretary-General, the leadership of the CIS and CSTO secretariats, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure, as well as representatives of the foreign ministries of the Commonwealth member states and the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism.
Safarzoda Bakhtovar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan and Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the country to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS, welcomed the participants of the event and presented Tajikistan's approaches aimed at strengthening joint security mechanisms and improving preventive measures for deradicalization within the framework of multilateral cooperation.
The event served as a platform for exchanging experiences and developing joint solutions to counter radicalization and extremism in the region, as well as strengthening multilateral security cooperation.
