In the first half of 2025, a decrease in the number of violations of the Law "On the Regulation of Traditions and Rituals" was recorded in Tajikistan. According to data from the Committee on Religious Affairs, Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations and Rituals, as well as information from standing commissions under local executive authorities, 41,630 events and 9,607 raids to monitor their implementation were held in the first six months of this year.
The largest number of raids took place in the city of Dushanbe – 2865. In the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 60 raids were conducted, in the Sughd Region – 1245, in the Khatlon Region – 1664, in the cities and districts of republican subordination – 3776.
According to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the reporting period, 630 cases of administrative offenses were registered under Article 481 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which is 255 less than in the same period in 2024 (885 cases).
Of the 630 cases considered: in 615 cases the courts issued rulings on the imposition of administrative fines, 15 cases were terminated during the trial.
The total amount of fines imposed was 5,155,996 somoni. Of these, 2,691,436 somoni were collected.
The authorities of the republic emphasize that the implementation of the law, adopted with the aim of rationalizing the costs of celebrations and observing cultural traditions, is under constant control, and the results of the first half of 2025 demonstrate positive dynamics.
