In Dushanbe, police officers have uncovered a case of expired thirst-quenching drinks being sold at the Farovon market. This was reported by the press service of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the inspection, the investigation department officers found that the seller Shokirov Daler had knowingly put up for sale drinks of the brands "Fanta" and "Coca-Cola" with expired shelf life. In total, 414 units of such drinks, which posed a health hazard to consumers, were confiscated from the offender.
As noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the summer, when the demand for soft drinks increases significantly, some unscrupulous sellers use this fact to sell low-quality products, misleading buyers.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against Shokirov Daler under Article 627 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. The case materials were sent to the court for a decision.
Law enforcement agencies urge citizens to be careful when purchasing food and beverages, and to promptly report cases of the sale of low-quality or expired products.
