In the first half of 2025, credit and financial institutions of the Khatlon region sent 2 billion 912.3 million somoni to various sectors of the economy, which is 28.1% (638.7 million somoni) more than the same period in 2024. This was reported by the Executive Body of State Authority of the Khatlon Region.
According to the analysis of the implementation of the Khatlon Socio-Economic Development Program, as of July 1 of this year, 182 projects have been completed for a total of 5.6 billion somoni, which is 76% of the planned volume. Work is ongoing on another 81 projects.
Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the Program for the Socioeconomic Development of Cities and Districts for 2021–2025. Positive dynamics are observed in some regions of the region, but in a number of cities and districts, as noted, it is necessary to intensify activities and take additional measures to accelerate implementation.
Of the total volume of issued loans, almost half – 1.4 billion somoni (48.3%) – was directed to support entrepreneurship. At the same time, 913.3 million somoni, or 64.4% of the amount issued to entrepreneurs, was invested in the sphere of production entrepreneurship.
The authorities of the Khatlon region expect that the activation of lending and further implementation of infrastructure and social projects will contribute to sustainable economic growth in the region.
