President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov arrived on a state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. At the Dushanbe International Airport, the high-ranking guest was personally met by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the press service of the head of state reports.
For the purpose of the ceremonial meeting of the leader of the neighboring state, the airport territory was festively decorated: the national flags of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were installed, portraits of the heads of state and banners with slogans about friendship and good neighborliness were placed. The guard of honor lined up on both sides of the red carpet. The meeting was accompanied by a rich concert program with the participation of youth representatives and cultural figures.
During a short conversation in the hall of official delegations, the heads of the two states exchanged views on key issues on the bilateral agenda and expressed confidence that this visit would become a new stage in the development of Tajik-Kyrgyz relations.
According to official information, the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic will last two days – from July 8 to 9. The visit will include high-level negotiations, signing of new interstate and intergovernmental agreements, holding a trade and investment forum, as well as visiting a number of sites and participating in joint cultural and business events.
The state visit is aimed at further deepening the strategic partnership, strengthening good-neighborliness, and expanding cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
