From July 1 to July 3, there is a risk of glacial mudflows in certain mountainous and foothill areas of Tajikistan. This was reported by the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, citing data from the Hydrometeorology Agency.
Mudflows are possible in the regions of republican subordination, the Sughd region, and in the west of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Experts say the main reason is high air temperature and intensive melting of glaciers.
The Emergency Situations Committee strongly recommends that citizens take precautions and, if possible, refrain from traveling to mountainous areas during the specified period.
