With the onset of summer holidays, all necessary measures have been taken in educational institutions of the Sughd region to organize recreation and health improvement for children and adolescents. In 2025, hundreds of school and country camps will operate in the region, which will cover more than 75 thousand children, the press service of the regional administration reports .
One of the largest health and educational centers is the camp named after "20th Anniversary of Independence", located on the territory of the Dehmoy jamoat on an area of 5.8 hectares. The camp is equipped with six buildings for living and leisure, a canteen, a cinema hall, a conference hall, classrooms, sports grounds and three swimming pools. Up to 360 students can rest here in one shift.
The Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, familiarized himself with the current activities of the camp and held a meeting with teenagers and young people. The camp was completely reconstructed and modernized on the initiative and instructions of the head of state Emomali Rahmon and brought into line with modern standards.
The 2025 summer season started on June 20, and during the first shift, more than 200 children from different regions of the country have already rested in this center. Currently, more than ten educators work in the camp and 15 interest groups operate – fine arts, reading, learning foreign languages, computer technology, folk crafts, sports and others. Children actively participate in intellectual and sports competitions, the winners of which receive memorable gifts.
According to the Council of Trade Unions of the Sughd Region, over 75 thousand children and teenagers will be covered by various forms of recreation during the summer of 2025. There are 10 country, 741 school day, 103 labor and health, as well as 102 sports and health camps operating in the region.
Only in the camp named after "20th Anniversary of Independence" more than 1800 children are planned to rest in five shifts. Special attention is paid to social support: orphans, excellent students, winners of competitions and olympiads of various levels are provided with free vouchers. This season more than 300 such children will be sent to rest in regional camps on the initiative of the executive body of state power of the Sughd region.
The constant attention of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the issues of children's recreation and health improvement testifies to the deep concern for the future of the country. The created favorable and comfortable environment for summer recreation contributes to the spiritual, intellectual and physical development of the younger generation.
