On the eve of National Unity Day, the Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, visited labor veterans in the Devashtich district. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.
During the visit, the head of the region visited a resident of the village of Qalai, Dust Hikmat Niyozova, a famous master of folk crafts and participant of the 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khoshim Azimov.
Hikmat Niyozova has been involved in folk crafts since 1967, passing on her skills to the younger generation. Over the decades of fruitful work, she has trained dozens of students. For her contribution to the development of traditional crafts and the preservation of the region's cultural heritage, she was awarded gratitude from the regional chairman and received memorable gifts. In a conversation with the head of the region, Niyozova emphasized that honest work and manual work have always brought respect and honor to a person.
Rajabboy Akhmadzoda also visited veteran of the civil service Hoshim Azimov, one of the participants of the historic 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, which played an important role in the formation of the country's statehood. During the meeting, Akhmadzoda expressed deep gratitude for his contribution to the development of the republic and presented holiday gifts.
During the visit, the regional chairman noted the importance of paying attention to the older generation and emphasized that the contribution of veterans to the development of the country is invaluable. "Today, our people see with their own eyes the results of the efforts of those who stood at the origins of Tajikistan's independence and development," Akhmadzoda said.
