On the night of June 28, a drone attack carried out by Russia on a residential building in Odessa killed a man and a woman. This was reported by the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Oleg Kiper. According to him, four victims are in hospitals, including a 7-year-old boy in moderate condition and a three-year-old child who was poisoned by combustion products.
According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odessa Oblast, after the Russian drone hit, a fire broke out on the 7th, 8th and 9th floors of a 21-story residential building. In conditions of heavy smoke and high temperatures, rescuers had to simultaneously extinguish the fire and evacuate people.
Five people, including one child, were rescued. According to preliminary data, two people have been confirmed dead. Work to eliminate the consequences continues, emergency services psychologists are on site. A Point of Invincibility has been deployed near the building. Rescue operations were complicated by repeated air raid alarms.
The day before, on June 27, Russia launched a missile strike on the city of Samara in the Dnepropetrovsk region – five people were killed, 23 were injured, four of them in serious condition.
Earlier, on the night of June 25, Russian drones attacked Kharkov – the strikes hit a civilian enterprise and near a residential building. One person was injured.
In addition, on June 24, Russia struck a training center of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded. The command noted that, thanks to the security measures taken, it was possible to avoid large-scale losses.
