President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Rushan district as part of a working visit to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. During the visit, the head of state opened a number of socio-economic facilities, including the monument to Ismoili Somoni, a modern greenhouse, and a dairy processing plant. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In the center of the district, Emomali Rahmon solemnly opened a monument to the founder of the first Tajik state, Shah Ismaili Somoni. The height of the statue is 7 meters, the pedestal is 5 meters. The monument is installed on an area of 1000 square meters next to the State Flag and Coat of Arms of Tajikistan. The composition is complemented by sculptural images symbolizing the works of Emomali Rahmon, the works "Shahname", "Tajiks", as well as the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and portraits of the Heroes of Tajikistan.
The President praised the work carried out, emphasizing the importance of perpetuating historical memory and national symbols.
The head of state also opened a new greenhouse built by entrepreneur Ruslan Sainakov on an area of 0.64 hectares. It grows cucumbers, tomatoes and bell peppers using drip irrigation. The annual production capacity of the facility is up to 30 tons of vegetables. The greenhouse employs 10 local residents.
During the inspection of the exhibition of agricultural products produced in the Rushan district, Emomali Rahmon noted that the efficient use of irrigated land and the introduction of innovations are the key to food security. According to local authorities, 777 hectares of land are sown in the district, including 374 hectares with grain and legume crops, 246 hectares with potatoes and 153 hectares with vegetables.
During the trip, Emomali Rahmon also commissioned the dairy processing enterprise Ganji Rushon LLC, created by entrepreneur Mulkibek Safarbekov. The production capacity is 1 ton of dairy products per day. The enterprise produces more than five types of products: cream, sour cream, chaka, yogurt and butter.
The facility employs 10 specialists, and the enterprise is equipped with equipment from leading global manufacturers. The President inspected the production lines, an exhibition of finished products, and instructed that international standards be observed in production and packaging.
The head of state highly appreciated the initiative of entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of their contribution to the implementation of the strategic goal – the accelerated industrialization of the country.
