Over the past two days, four cases of drowning have been recorded in the country. Rescuers from the Emergency Situations Committee managed to save one minor. Search operations for the bodies of three victims continue, the press service of the Emergency Situations Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
On June 21, 2025, at 17:30, in the village of Vahdatobod, part of the Namuna jamoat of the Panj district, a 16-year-old teenager drowned in a canal while swimming. Rescuers from the Special Squad of the Main Directorate of the Emergency Situations Committee for the Khatlon region quickly arrived at the scene and began search and rescue operations. The search for the body continues.
On June 22, 2025, at 16:00, near the village of Navobod, in the territory of the Bokhtariyon jamoat, a 26-year-old resident of the Firdavsi district drowned. The man violated the rules of conduct on the water and drowned in the Vakhsh River. Rescuers from the Main Directorate of the Emergency Situations Committee for the Khatlon Region conducted both surface and underwater search operations. At the moment, no results have been received.
According to the Main Directorate of the Emergency Situations Committee for the Sughd Region, on June 22, 2025, at 14:20, in the area of the Yova jamoat, in a section of the Syr Darya River prohibited for swimming, a 43-year-old resident of the city of Khujand drowned. The man was intoxicated. Rescuers immediately went to the scene and searched until 20:00, but the body was not found. The search was resumed the next morning.
On the same day, June 22 at 15:05, a minor resident of the district, Jabbor Rasulov, was on the verge of drowning while swimming in the Syr Darya River. Thanks to the timely intervention of the rescuers of the Special Squad of the KChS in the Sughd region, the teenager was saved.
