On the eve of the 28th anniversary of National Unity Day, the State Institution "Eye Microsurgery Center of Sughd Region" named after Fazliddin Sharipov provided free diagnostics, residents were treated for eye diseases. This was reported by NIAT "Khovar" with reference to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The initiative was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Public Charitable Organization "Tajikistan", within the framework of which 128 residents of the region suffering from eye diseases and who underwent free diagnostics underwent surgical operations.
According to the institution’s chief physician, Jamila Toshmatova, within the framework of this charitable initiative, patients from all over the Sughd region, especially from remote mountainous areas, came to the Center for diagnosis and treatment.
It is worth noting that this Center is considered one of the leading specialized institutions in the field of ophthalmology in the region, it provides high-quality diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical services on a daily basis.
The center is equipped with modern equipment, such as phacoemulsification devices, optical tomographs, angiographs, modern lasers, dacryocystoscopic endoscopes and other equipment. The created conditions allow us to conduct here not only diagnostics, but also the most complex surgical operations qualitatively and at the international level.
The adult department of the Center has 40 beds, and the children's department has 30 beds.
