The Republic of Tajikistan strongly condemned the airstrikes carried out on June 22 by the US and Israeli air forces on nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was stated in an official statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, published on Sunday.
The Foreign Ministry statement emphasized that such actions pose a serious threat to regional and global security and could provoke a large-scale armed conflict with extremely dangerous consequences for the entire Middle East and the international community as a whole.
“The Republic of Tajikistan, reaffirming its commitment to the principles and norms of international law, expresses deep concern about the sharp escalation of tensions and calls for an immediate cessation of military action,” the document notes.
Dushanbe appeals to the United Nations, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other authoritative international structures to take urgent and decisive measures aimed at preventing further destabilization of the situation, as well as preventing possible environmental and humanitarian disasters that could arise as a result of attacks on sensitive facilities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan emphasizes that any disagreements and international disputes must be resolved exclusively by political and diplomatic means, with full compliance with international law and respect for the sovereignty of states.
Tajikistan expressed support for the efforts of the international community aimed at reducing tensions and restoring sustainable peace and stability in the Middle East.
