More than 60 billion rubles have been contributed to the Russian budget from the sale of work permits to foreign citizens. This was reported at the SPIEF by Valentina Kazakova, Head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, TASS reports.
"And already for the first 5 months of this year this amount is 63 billion rubles, which is more than last year," she said.
Kazakova also noted that since the beginning of this year, about three million foreign citizens have arrived in Russia. "800 thousand are in the construction sector, 350 thousand are in wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing. Then comes transportation, storage – 193 thousand, agriculture – 63 thousand," Kazakova added.
According to her, in 2024, the amount from the sale of labor patents amounted to almost 124 billion rubles. "This is what the subjects of the Russian Federation receive from us from advance payments that foreigners pay for obtaining a patent every month," Kazakova explained.
