Emomali Rahmon visited a modern greenhouse of the Donakhoi Umed trade cooperative in Dushanbe

On June 20, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the city of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali visited the modern greenhouse of the Donakhoi Umed trade cooperative located in the Sino district of Dushanbe, the press service of the head of state reports.

The greenhouse is built on an area of 1.5 hectares, equipment and devices for growing vegetables are imported from abroad in accordance with new experience. The main goal of the farm is to provide the population of Dushanbe with fresh vegetables all year round.

The head of state was informed that the greenhouse is constantly functioning and maintains a stable temperature using modern technologies.

Before growing cucumbers, tomatoes were grown in the greenhouse, the harvest of which was delivered to the markets of Dushanbe and the outskirts of the capital. Currently, the greenhouse produces a bountiful harvest of cucumbers, which testifies to the rich experience of the employees of the Donakhoi Umed trading cooperative, which numbers 10 people, in the field of sowing and growing vegetables. The choice of varieties adapted to the country's climate is also one of the factors for a high yield.

Watering in the greenhouse is carried out by the drip irrigation method. With the help of drip tubes, vegetables receive not only water, but also nutrients. The technology of caring for vegetables in the greenhouse is automated, which helps to increase the yield.

Thanks to protective nets, vegetables are reliably protected from the effects of natural factors such as excessive heat and harmful insects.

During the familiarization with the results of the vegetable growers' work and the exhibition of the products of the greenhouse of the Donakhoi Umed trade cooperative, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon held a warm and open conversation with the employees, giving useful instructions and recommendations on the production of various varieties of vegetables, the introduction of new growing methods, the gradual expansion of the greenhouse area, the creation of additional jobs and the provision of Dushanbe markets with quality products.
