MegaFon Tajikistan represented our republic at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), held in Russia on June 18-21. One of the important events of the forum was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the operator and the leading Russian developer Ivideon. First of all, the parties intend to develop video surveillance and video analytics systems in Tajikistan.
2025-2030 have been declared the "Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development" in the Republic of Tajikistan. Fully supporting the initiatives of the President and the Government of the country, MegaFon Tajikistan continues to expand its technological network and introduce innovative digital services.
Strategic long-term cooperation with Ivideon will expand the capabilities of the operator's clients in terms of using video surveillance and video analytics systems. They can be used in various areas – for example, in construction, the hotel business, trade, at order pick-up points (OPP) of marketplaces – to ensure security and improve business efficiency. Thus, video analytics will help to determine the most visited areas of stores, the time of greatest activity of visitors to the OPP or control the timeliness of delivery of building materials and make decisions on optimizing the organization's business processes.
The launch of a multifunctional intelligent platform that will allow the creation of local and cloud video surveillance and video analytics systems will be one of the first joint steps of Ivideon and MegaFon Tajikistan. In the future, the parties intend to implement other solutions for businesses and private clients.
"Expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia is a way to strengthen the IT and telecom sectors of the two countries. Ivideon's developments are certainly interesting for our market and will help achieve the goals set for the industry by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. In the near future, we plan to expand the list of digital services available to our clients. Business analytics systems will be good assistants for organizations seeking to improve the efficiency of their activities and will contribute to the overall growth of the country's economy," said Anatoly Izyumnikov, CEO of MegaFon Tajikistan.
"The cooperation has become a logical development of our partnership with MegaFon – now at the level of the national telecom operator of Tajikistan. MegaFon Tajikistan is a key operator with a large-scale infrastructure and a deep understanding of the technological challenges of the country. For us, this is an opportunity to launch video surveillance and video analytics using a partnership model, in the format that is really needed by businesses and private clients in the local market," said Zaur Abutalimov, CEO of Ivideon.
