On July 18 and 19, Dushanbe will host Culture Days in the cities of Kulob, Khujand, and Levakant, as well as the Abdurahmon Jami, Zafarabad, and Temurmalik districts. The events are part of the celebrations for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence, according to NIAT Khovar, citing the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan.
According to the ministry, the Abdurahmon Jami District Culture Day will be held at the Children's Park on July 18. The Abulkosim Firdavsi Central Park of Culture and Recreation will host the Kulob City Culture Day, and the Kuli Javonon (Youth Lake) Park of Culture and Recreation will host the Zafarabad District Culture Day.
The following day, July 19, Temurmalik District Culture Day will be held at Iram Park. Khujand City Culture Day will be held at Sadriddin Aini Culture and Recreation Park, and Levakant City Culture Day will be held at Kuli Javonon Culture and Recreation Park.
Over the course of two days, residents and visitors to the capital will be able to learn about the socioeconomic and cultural achievements of the cities and districts represented, as well as traditional folk crafts. Visitors will be treated to exhibitions of agricultural produce, handicrafts, and national dishes. A rich cultural and entertainment program is also on offer.
The Days of Culture are scheduled in the Schedule of Holidays, Anniversary Celebrations, Festivals, Exhibitions, Festive Events, Cultural and Educational Competitions, and Events Dedicated to Traditions and Folk Crafts, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated January 2, 2026. According to a separate plan, cultural events will be held throughout June, July, and August of this year.
